Differences in Operating System 32 bit and 64 bit Computer

In the computer world there is a term which may often we hear that the 32 bit and 64 bit. However, do you know the difference? Which should be in use on your computer or laptop? If you do not know the difference, I will explain some of the difference basically.

The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way the computer processor handles information. 64 bit version of Windows handles large amounts of RAM is more effective than a 32 bit system. Basically, the 64-bit OS is far superior than the 32-bit OS. So, it is simply the difference lies in the amount of information that can be handled by the processor at any given moment. While the word "bit" refers to the way computers deal with information in binary code, in which all data is recognized as a series of numbers digits consisting of 1 or 0. Each digit is counted as a single bit, which means a 32 bit processor can process 32 digits at once ,

To install the 64 bit version of the OS, you must have a CPU that is capable of running 64-bit Windows versions. The benefits of using 64 bit is most evident when you have large amounts of RAM installed on your computer (typically 4 GB or more) for a 64 bit OS can take advantage of large amounts of memory more efficiently than a 32 bit OS. 64 bit OS can be more responsive when running multiple programs at the same time and often switch between programs.

To maximize the performance of the computer, of course, we have to adjust to the type of operating system version processor. For example, if we've Processor 64-bit then you should when installing the operating system we choose the 64-bit version. Starting from the Windows XP operating system, already there are 64-bits. What we must know that we can install a 32 bit operating system on 64-bit processor but not otherwise, we can not install a 64-bit operating system on a computer with 32-bit processor.

There was also a significant restriction on the two types of processors. 32 bit processor can only work with a maximum memory capacity up to 4 GB and 2 GB is usually restricted to any one DIMM memory. While the 64-bit processor can work with memory capacity up to 17 million GB. 64-bit processor is also capable of handling tasks up to 2X.

Previously, it was impossible each program requires more than 2 GB of memory. however, some video games has now exceeded that limit. The reason is what makes 64-bit processors are becoming very popular. Windows 64 bit edition can run most software is designed for 32-bit edition with special compatibility mode. But the result can be quite at variance. Using a 64 bit OS could also pose a few problems with the driver, which is a fraction of software to coordinate each hardware with the OS.

In conclusion, if you only have 4 GB of RAM or less, better wear a 32 bit OS only, especially notebook average only has 2 memory slots 1 slot only consists max 2 GB only. For drivers notebook companies usually only provide 32-bit drivers only. If your computer has 4 GB of RAM, please wear a 64 bit OS, with a note you can not use some of the older hardware that drivers are not provided by the manufacturer. 64 bit OS is only useful for heavy work, such as to render 3 Ds Max, and some other heavy tasks. So, depending on your taste of each, like the 32 bit or 64 bit? all depends on your needs, have a nice day.
